Purchase with excise/custom duty

The products/services that you have purchased from the vendors or especially manufacturing companies the bill that you get for entries includes excise duty,

And imported goods will have a custom duty in Nepal so if you want to do entires for that kindly follow the steps below.

Important Note:

Follow the same step for excise and custom duty by creating two different products

1) Product Name - Excise Duty, Unit - Na, Product Type - Single, Price - Rs.0.00

2) Product Name - Custom Duty, Unit - Na, Product Type - Single, Price - Rs.0.00

Purchase entry with excise/custom duty

  • Go to products -> add product

  • Now, create a product named -> Excise Duty

  • Check -> manage stock and fill up all the required details just like when adding other products

  • Put the product type -> Single -> Applicable tax -> VAT13%

  • Add purchase price/sales price/others 0.00

  • Click on save

After creating a product,

  • Go to purchase -> add purchase

  • Fill in the details -> add the purchased products or import products if you have lots of purchased items

  • Now add the excise duty that you have created -> add purchase tax -> add payment details

  • Click on save

Disclaimer:

While using this method your excise or custom duty stocks might increase after every purchase, but the stock valuation won't be effected as it has 0.00 rates everywhere,
